Through collaborative partnerships, innovative programs, and community engagement, MVEDD will work to foster economic well-being for the communities we serve. By adopting new industries and holding onto our agricultural heritage, we hope to usher in the next chapter of economic growth and opportunity. 

Our mission is to promote economic growth and community resiliency within the Mohawk Valley. We will continue supporting local businesses through sustainable development that emphasizes job growth, enhances quality of life, and increases regional viability.
 

About The Mohawk Valley Economic Development District's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is a document focused on planning for economic development initiatives and strategies that enhance the regional economy. The CEDS includes current and future economic planning strategies that emphasize economic diversity, increase job growth, and foster regional connectivity across all sectors. This CEDS includes information on the demographics, economic development strategies, current planning projects, and potential initiatives for the Mohawk Valley Region. Establishments looking to obtain EDA funding in the region must display how their proposal for funding fits in with the overarching CEDS goals. The CEDS is updated and adopted by the EDD every 5 years and is used to describe the state of economic development in the Mohawk Valley.
