Our goal is to strengthen the Mohawk Valley Region using our expertise in economic development, sustainability, and community planning. We bring an interdisciplinary team experienced in inclusive community engagement strategies, comprehensive planning, and community revitalization projects.

MVEDD takes the guesswork out of comprehensive planning. Our team comes to you and leads the entire process – from visioning and goal setting to community outreach and public meetings to final plan submission to NYS.

This guide was put together to guide communities through the comp plan process. While we have tried to condense the material as best we could, it does not include every aspect that a community might need.

This guide was created as a guide for communities to incorporate "sustainability elements" in their new or updated comp plan. While not exhaustive, it provides a framework for meeting NYSDEC requirements.
