Celebrating and honoring our region’s history is central to the placemaking plans. Highlighting a region’s history helps foster a sense of pride and connection to our communities - and history is something the Mohawk Valley is rich in.

Ft Plain and MVEDD Announce NY Forward/DRI Effort

Through the work MVEDD has done with the USDA Rural Placemaking Grant, Fort Plain is in position to apply for NY Forward/DRI, with a possible award of $4.5M - $10M.
