EmPower New York

EmPower New York provides those who qualify with no cost energy efficiency upgrades.  EmPower New York Contractors will identify energy efficiency  measures that can be installed at no cost to you. 

Assisted Home Performance with ENERY STAR

Assisted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR provides those who qualify with a discount covering 50% of the cost of eligible energy efficiency improvements up to $4,000 per project for single-family homes.  Two -to four-unit residential homes with income-eligible residents may qualify for  up to $8,000 discount. 

Renewable Heat NY

Renewable Heat NY provides incentives toward the installed costs of high-efficiency, low-emission wood heating systems for homeowners and businesses without access to natural gas. 

Residential Financing

NYSERDA offers two loan options (On-Bill Recovery and Smart Energy Loans) to help New York State residents finance energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements made thorough NYSERDA's programs.  Loans can be used with Home Performance with ENERGY STAR, Assisted Home Performance, NY-Sun, Renewable Heat NY programs, and Ground Source Heat Pumps. 

NY-Sun and Affordable Solar

The NY-Sun Incentive Program povides an incentive for installing solar electric systems.  The incentive is currently $.35 per watt based on the size of the system. Affordable Solar, part of NY-Sun, doubles the current NY-Sun incentive for homeowners with total household income less than 80% of the area of state median income. 

Solar for All

 Solar for All is a New York State utility bill assistance program. New York State is funding solar farms to benefit homeowners and renters who may not be able to access solar (clean energy). Through Solar for All, eligible New Yorkers can get the benefits of clean energy while lowering their energy costs. 

Community Solar

A Community Solar project is a group of solar panels installed in a location best suited for solar owre.  Anyone in the area can access the clean energy produced by the panels and get credits on thier electric bill. 

Small Wind Program

Residential, commercial, institutional or government customers qualify for incentives on equipment of 2MW per site per customers.  NYSERDA's incentive cannot exceed 50% of the total installed cost of the system, which must be connect to the electric grid. 

Air Source Heat Pumps

Incentives are available for some air source heat pumps when installed by a participating contractor.  Air Source heat pumps are often called ductless or mini split systems and can also be installed as a replacement for traditional central air.  These systems minimize the need for heating fuel, reduce the amount of electric used in cooling and heating and save energy and money.  $500 incentive per household

Ground Source Heat Pump (Geothermal)

Geothermal can provide affordable and efficient heating and cooling throughout the year through the use of a heat pump.  These systems are highly efficient, saving energy and money.  Incentive based on project size available for qualifying geothermal systems installed by an approved designer or installer.  UP to $15,000 for single-family homes.
